Lee M. Tillman

President and CEO, Marathon Oil Corp.

Lee M. Tillman, president and CEO of Marathon Oil Corp., joined the company in 2013 from ExxonMobil Corp., where he was vice president of engineering for ExxonMobil Development Co. There, Tillman led the company's global engineering staff in major-project-concept selection, and in front-end engineering and design. He began his career at Exxon Corp. in 1989 as a research engineer and has had extensive operations management and leadership experience, including assignments in Indonesia, Scotland, Norway, Equatorial Guinea. Tillman received his B.S. in chemical engineering with honors from Texas A&M University and his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Auburn University. He is the recipient of the 2014 Auburn University Chemical Engineering Distinguished Alumnus Award.
