Rick Wilkerson

President and CEO, Velocity Midstream

Rick WilkersonRichard (Rick) W. Wilkerson, president and CEO, Velocity Midstream Partners, has served in his current capacity since October 2008. Wilkerson is responsible for Velocity’s strategic direction and heads the company’s business development efforts. Prior to starting Velocity Midstream (May 2005 to October 2008), Wilkerson was a partner and vice president in two private equity backed midstream partnerships with assets and efforts focused in the Granite Wash and East Texas. From January 2001 to April 2005, Wilkerson was director of business development for eLynx, a subsidiary of American Central Gas Gathering. Wilkerson began his career in the oil and gas industry with Samson Resources in 1991. While at Samson, he held various positions primarily focused on gas transportation and processing agreements, oil and gas reserves, financial analysis, drilling economics, and acquisitions. Wilkerson holds an MBA from the University of Tulsa.
